Luz Michelle

Stand-Up Comedian and Story teller in New York

Part Colombian & part Native-Indian Luz Michelle was born in Bogota, Colombia but adopted by two Eastern European Jews and raised in the forgotten borough - with the second biggest dump in the world - that is affectionately referred to as "Heroin Island," Staten Island, New York. Luz has channelled this unique experience and background into a successful comedy career, gracing stages with her malapropisms and unique style at marquis venues such as Caroline's, The Stand, Dangerfield's, Lucy's Laugh Lounge and others throughout the Tri-State Area. She has also appeared on GMA, SXSW, NYC Comedy Festival, Good Karma Comedy Festival, Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival and was the storyteller winner at Gotham Comedy Club.

Luz is also the CEO/Founder of Hard Headed Comedy™, a comedy entertainment company that produces both live and streamed showcases featuring established and up-and-coming comedic talent. Since March 2020 Luz has been producing Still Standing Monologues, a weekly live-streamed comedy show and a talk show called Talk It Out Tuesday. Her main goal is to give her colleagues a chance to hone their craft and deliver medicine - aka Laughter - to the masses during the pandemic.
